Theme: Tinker Bell or Fairy Princess
Invites: We did the invite on a paper flower along with a thank you note after the party.
Decorations: We hung white twinkle lights around the room. I used coupons to buy flower garlands at Michael's, leaves, anything that would be in a garden. I used little logs for the girls to come and sit on during the party on a dollar store plastic mat to look like it was in the garden on green grass. We hung a green table cloth over our entertainment center and hung flowers on it to make the picture backdrop.
Games:
1. Pin the Fairy on the Flower ( I just drew a flower on a poster board and got fairy stickers, you can also buy a poster of Tinker Bell and buy Her fairy friends to sit on the flower with her.)
2. Find the Fairies (I went to the Disney Store and bought the pack of fairies, I then hid them around the room and in all the decorations. You could also print out fairy pictures have the kids color them and then hid those. Let the kids find them all at once or go in groups or as soon as one finds one then another friend gets to look for one.)
3. Fairy Dancing (Every little girl loves dancing. So find some fairy music that your little one loves and let it play. This is great for the first game as you are waiting for all the guests to come or as the end game as you are waiting for parents to come and pick up.)
4. Make Wings ( Cut wings out of cardboard. I attached an elastic with a staple to each wing so they could be worn or taken off easily. Just mind the size of arms. I made mine to big and had to resize them during the party. I then had two sticker sheets for each child of flowers, fairies, etc.. to decorate their own wings with. This is what we did as the first game waiting for everyone to arrive.)
5. Face Paint (a little sparkle face gel is all I used and the girls loved it. You could get really fancy and hire a face paint artist.)
6. Fairy Finds (Fairies need treasures to take home. A small sparkly puff ball from the dollar store, a bracelet, fingernail polish, a small treat that the fairy birthday princess loves, a wand, a fairy crown, a fairy skirt made from ribbon, hair things, bubbles, necklaces, lip gloss. All of these things are the party favor at the end of the party.)
Wands: take a small dowel rod, glue curling ribbon then wrap with ribbon.
Crowns: I used metal garland that had silver stars on it wrapped it three times around and twisted it off. Then I added that same curling ribbon, glued a flower over the knot.
Skirts: I found some at a dollar store, but you can also take elastic and a medium width ribbon and loop it around the elastic. You can make it super full by squishing them close together or a little more airy by leaving them the width apart.
7. Fairy Friends (Using the garden decorations I made a very fairy background. The girls put on the skirts, wings, crowns, and we took pictures of the group together. That was what my little girl then took around with a thank you note to all the friends that came.)
Cake: We made tiny party treats because a fairy is dainty. Small brownies with pink or light orange frosting ( I made the brownies using my mini muffin pan from Pampered Chef but if to save on time you can buy brownies from Costco then pipe on icing. The icing I used Pillsbury icing dyed it and flavored it a little bit with orange.) We used small cups with flowers on them and drank pink lemonade or Sprite. We also had some fruit that fairies love to eat like berries, grapes, bananas etc..
